Neither the one who knocks nor the wayward woman display any interest in burying the hatchet and working with each other because they're so convinced of their own position's or background's superiority, and as a result neither leaves better off than they were before. Maybe I'm just imagining this, but I think the Author is subtly making a wise point about how people from different walks of life should try to think positively of one another, reach across the aisle and compromise to achieve their goals for the common good.Jena Rickhttp://www.moderation.orgnoreply@blogger.com
